As A Producer

Alan-Arthur’s first productions stem from his founding of The Rock Club at The College of Staten Island. Here, he was able to get a budget, promote events and align them to never conflict with end-of-semester concerts. This club operated as a performing ensemble with shows each semester. This also revolved around Not From Concentrate performing with many of the same members at clubs on Staten Island and in other boroughs. Through a booking agent in Manhattan, he got Not From Concentrate to be one of the house bands at the Institute of Audio Research from 2009 – 2015, where they recorded a multitude of recordings under the guidance of audio engineer Dan Grigsby.

In 2014, he produced Pictures At An Exhibition with the Richmond County Orchestra, performing the iconic work with local artwork projected over the orchestra for each movement. He then produced a tribute to the 50th Anniversary of the Summer of Love in 207, and RCO Celebrates Motown in 2018. During COVID lockdowns, Alan-Arthur produced all virtual content for Riverside Opera Company and Richmond County Orchestra which included continuing the tradition of RCO’s Holiday Spectacular with a blend of new virtual performances and video captures of The Nutcracker Ballet from previous seasons.

Alan-Arthur worked again with Dan on Not From Concentrate’s 2020 release No Name and their noted singles Clark Kent and Die Trying in 2022. Alan-Arthur tried his hand at self-production by releasing the Not From Concentrate song Comfortable Life (Getting You Nowhere Fast)in 2023. He also began releasing audio recordings of Riverside Opera Company and Richmond County Orchestra. These efforts led Alan-Arthur to join the Recording Academy in 2024. In 2026, Alan-Arthur released a series of authorized bootlegs as live albums for Foolish Relics, The Operators and The Fuss. Each album is titled Live in NYC – July 12, 2024.
